### What makes Orshot a good design MCP server?

Orshot returns finished files, not layout data. You design a template once in Orshot Studio and mark any layer as a dynamic parameter: text, image, color or style. Your agent then calls one tool with those parameter values and gets back a rendered PNG, PDF or MP4. Figma's MCP server is built for design-to-code handoff and Canva's stays inside Canva, so neither hands your agent a production asset the way Orshot does.

Claude picks the template from your workspace, applies the values, and returns the file. Your workspace brand kit is applied automatically, so logos, colors and fonts are already correct. ### Do I need to write Orshot API code for my agent to use it?

No. Orshot's MCP server exposes its capabilities as typed tools your agent discovers on connection, so there are no endpoints to wire, no SDK to install and no API key to pass around. OAuth scopes the connection to one workspace. If you would rather have your agent write REST calls directly, install the Orshot agent skill and it will get the parameter model and carousel prefixes right the first time.

### Does my agent stay on brand when it renders?

Yes, because the design decisions live in the template rather than in the prompt. The agent supplies values for parameters you defined in Studio; it cannot move layers or invent a layout. Every render inherits the brand kit attached to that workspace, which is why agencies keep a separate Orshot workspace per client.

### What does it cost to connect Orshot to an AI agent?

Connecting is free and there is no separate MCP charge. Renders draw credits from your normal Orshot plan, and every account gets 100 credits a month without a credit card, so you can have an agent generate real assets before paying anything.
