## Migration guides

| Moving from | How | Guide |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Abyssale | Guide and importer. Paste your Abyssale API key and pick designs. Every format comes over as a page, layer names as parameters. | https://orshot.com/migrate/from-abyssale.md |
| Placid | Guide and importer. Save each template from the Placid editor and upload it. Your layer names stay as the API parameters. | https://orshot.com/migrate/from-placid.md |
| IMG.LY | We migrate it for you. CE.SDK scenes have no Orshot importer, so we rebuild them from your files, or you import the source design from Canva, Figma or Polotno. Then the editor moves into your app as an embed. | https://orshot.com/migrate/from-imgly.md |
| Polotno | Guide and importer. Save each design as JSON and paste it in. Text and image layers become parameters, then the editor moves into your app as an embed. | https://orshot.com/migrate/from-polotno.md |
| Canva | Self-serve importer. Paste a public share link. Every page comes across as an editable template. | https://orshot.com/migrate/from-canva.md |
| Templated.io | Self-serve importer. Save each template from the Templated editor and upload it. Your layer names stay as the API parameters. | https://orshot.com/migrate/from-templated.md |
| Bannerbear | Guide and importer. Save each template from the Bannerbear editor and upload it. Your layer names stay as the API parameters. | https://orshot.com/migrate/from-bannerbear.md |

Not listed? We also rebuild templates from Contentdrips, Creatomate, APITemplate.io and other tools from your exports.

## How a migration works

1. **Export:** Export each template from your current platform, one file each.
2. **Import:** Import it in New Template, then check the parameter names match your old ones.
3. **Swap the step:** Point your API call or Zapier, Make, n8n step at the Orshot template.
4. **Decide:** Run both, compare a few renders, then keep whichever works for you.

## Two ways to migrate

**Do it yourself**

- Step-by-step guide with screenshots
- One-click importers, bulk on paid plans
- A prompt for your AI agent

**We do it for you**

- We import your templates, parameters kept
- We help build your API and automations
- Test render of each on your data

## FAQ

### What do you need from me?

The template's own data: a saved editor page, a JSON export, a share link or the HTML. A screenshot alone is not enough, we never redraw from a picture.

### Is it free?

Yes on any paid plan, for up to 5 templates that you actually render, plus the Zapier, Make or n8n steps that call them. Bigger moves start with a call.

### Will my automations break?

No. Your current tool keeps running. You add the Orshot step next to the old one, map the same parameters, compare, then remove the old node.

### What about image URLs already sent in emails?

They stay on the old provider and work as long as that account exists. New sends use Orshot Dynamic URLs.
