## How it works

1. Install the plugin and click Connect to Orshot.
2. Start from 2400+ library templates or build your own in Orshot Studio, then pick it in Settings > Orshot and map Post Title and Category.
3. Tick the post types that should get a cover, and turn on Auto-generate OG image on publish.

Developers can skip the plugin: render on publish through `POST https://api.orshot.com/v1/studio/render`, or put a Dynamic URL straight into og:image. Dynamic URL renders are cached, with a render limit and an expiry per template.

## FAQ

### Do I need an Orshot account?

Yes. The plugin is free and connects to your Orshot workspace. The free plan includes 100 credits a month to try it.

### I already use Yoast or Rank Math. Will this clash?

No. If your SEO plugin already sets the social image, keep it on and use Orshot for featured images only. Or turn its image tag off and let Orshot set og:image and twitter:image.

### Which post types are supported?

Posts, pages and any custom post type. You pick which ones get images in Settings > Orshot.

### Where are the images stored?

In your WordPress media library, as normal attachments. They stay there even if you remove the plugin.

### Do I need an API key?

No. You click Connect to Orshot and approve the connection. Nothing to copy or paste.

### Can I redo an image after editing a post?

Yes. Updating the post generates it again, or use the Orshot Featured Image panel in the editor sidebar.
