What is a Render?
A render is the internal unit Orshot's API reports — 2 renders make up 1 credit
Orshot bills usage in credits: a single image costs 1 credit, and video costs 1 credit per second of output. A render is the internal unit those credits are made of — 2 renders = 1 credit — and it's the value the API reports back (fields like renders_used and render_count).
When you sign up for Orshot, your plan includes a set number of credits per billing period. Every time you call the API to generate content, the credit cost is deducted from your allowance, and the response reports the equivalent number of renders.
See Credit Usage for the full per-format breakdown.
You can track your current credit usage in Workspace Settings → Billing & Usage. Need more credits? Enable overage billing to keep generating beyond your plan limit.
