Introduction

The Orshot Figma Plugin bridges the gap between design and dynamic image generation by converting your Figma designs into JSON format that can be imported into Orshot. This allows designers to create templates in Figma's familiar interface and then use them for automated image generation via Orshot's API.

How to Use

1. Install the Plugin

1. Open Figma and go to the Community tab
2. Search for "Orshot" or visit the plugin page directly
3. Click "Install" to add the plugin to your Figma account
4. The plugin will appear in your Plugins menu

2. Prepare Your Design

1. Create your design in Figma with clear layer organization
2. Name layers descriptively (these will become variable names)
3. Ensure text layers use consistent styling

3. Generate JSON

1. Select the frame/group you want to automate
2. Go to Plugins > Orshot in your Figma menu
3. Click "Copy JSON" to copy the Orshot compatible JSON

4. Import to Orshot

1. Copy the generated JSON from the plugin
2. Log into your Orshot dashboard
3. Create a new Studio template
4. Click on Import template and paste the JSON
5. Test and refine your template as needed
