New members notice when nobody says hello, and teams mean to welcome everyone but forget once things get busy. This workflow makes the greeting automatic. Add a member to your Google Sheet, and a personal welcome card lands in Slack for the team to react to.
What happens when a member joins
- A new row is added. Someone joins and a row appears in your members Sheet, whether you type it in or a signup form appends it.
- Their name and details are read. The workflow picks up the new row and reads the name, join date, and plan.
- A welcome card is rendered. Orshot builds a card from your template, filling the placeholders with that member's details. The name resizes to fit the layout.
- It lands in Slack. The finished card posts to your chosen channel, so the team can welcome the new member by name.
