Introducing Smart Stacking for Relative Positioning of Elements
Stack elements relative to each other for truly dynamic layouts that adapt automatically when content changes
Stack elements relative to each other for truly dynamic layouts that adapt automatically when content changes
We're excited to introduce Smart Stacking - a powerful new feature in Orshot Studio that lets you position elements relative to each other, creating dynamic layouts that automatically adapt when content changes
Smart Stacking allows elements to maintain their position relative to other elements. When the target element moves, resizes, or changes content, stacked elements automatically adjust their position
No more manual repositioning when text length changes or images are swapped out. With this, you can generate position aware images/pdfs at scale from your Orshot templates
Specially with text layers, previously there was no way to position text relatively and so it caused issues like overlapping, or uneven spacing. Smart Stacking fixes that and much more letting you create adaptive designs that look stunning and professional
Implementation-wise, it was a complicated feature to design as it has to work correctly both in Orshot Studio as well as in Orshot API to make sure the stacking works exactly the same based on set offset and positions. Even popular automated image generation services like BannerBear or Placid do not have this smart stacking feature
Smart Stacking is available now in Orshot Studio. Simply select any element and look for the "Smart Stacking" toggle in the element editor to start creating dynamic, adaptive layouts
