How Ivan is cross-posting Twitter Threads on Instagram and TikTok

Meet Ivan, a writer, storyteller and author who was spending good time manually converting his Twitter threads into Instagram carousels and TikTok videos. Today, he's automated this process using Orshot, saving him time and manual effort

The Story

About last week Ivan signed up on Orshot, he was looking to automate cross-posting his Twitter threads on his Instagram and Tiktok

Ivan is a writer, storyteller and a published author, and has a huge following on his socials with 130k+ on X, 53k+ on Instagram and LinkedIn

He didn't want to manually screenshot his Thread tweets and then resize them for Instagram/Tiktok and then upload them, so he was looking for a tool that could help him automatically screenshot those threads and put them in size ready to be posted on his other socials. There were tools like TweetPik which could do that, but they don't support Twitter threads

Ivan figured Orshot wouldn't solve his problem, since there was no direct option to automate Twitter thread screenshot and automatically resize them for other social platforms

I instantly sent him an email asking about his use case, his first reply was "... yeah I tried but I don't think Orshot can help me with that" 😅

The best thing about this reply was I instantly knew what exactly Ivan was trying to do. And now that I understood the problem, and that i was something that didn't exist in Orshot at that point, but can be done, I told Ivan that I can add this feature in Orshot

Ivan agreed to give it a try and joined Orshot's Slack, where we discussed specifics about his use case

And after bunch of automation explorations on Zapier, new APIs, trials and testing we built this tool which helps him auto-generate carousels for his Instagram, LinkedIn and Tiktok from his Twitter threads

I built this tool with Ivan with lots of feedback from him

How Ivan is using Orshot

Ivan writes lots of threads on Twitter. And to repurpose his content for other social platforms, all he does now is paste the link to those threads in Twitter Carousel Generator and the tool automatically generates carousel slides for him, in just a matter of seconds

You can select the platform for which you want the slides for from LinkedIn, Instagram, Tiktok. On top of that, you can also customize the appearance of the carousel images

Once the carousel is generated, you can download them as images or PDF
