How to reset your password
Click Forgot password on the login page, open the link we email you in the same browser, and choose a new password. You are logged in as soon as it saves.

Forgot your password? Request a reset link from the login page. The link signs you in and opens a form for a new password, so you don't need the old one.
If you never set a password, you don't need to reset one. Log in with Google, GitHub, the email link or a passkey, then set a password from Account.
Request a reset link#
- Go to the login page and open the Password tab.
- Click Forgot password? under the form.
- Enter your email and click Send reset link.
The page says a link is on its way if that email has an Orshot account. It says the same for emails that don't, so the form can't be used to check who has an account.
Choose a new password#
- Open the email and click the reset link in the same browser where you asked for it.
- Enter a new password of at least 8 characters, repeat it, and click Save password.
- You land in your last workspace, logged in.
The link works once and expires after a short time. If it has expired, request a new one.
Why the same browser
The reset link only completes in the browser that requested it. Opening it on your phone after asking from your laptop sends you back to the request form, where a new link takes a few seconds.
Common problems#
| You see | Why, and what to do |

| No email after a minute | Check spam, and that the address is the one on your Orshot account. Google and GitHub logins use the email of that account. |
| "That reset link has expired or was already used" | Links work once. Request a new one and open it in this browser. |
| "Your reset session has ended" | You logged out in another tab, or the link is old. Request a new one. |
| "The passwords don't match." | The two fields differ. Type the same password in both. |
| "Passwords can't be changed while impersonating" | A support session is open on this account. Close it, then try again. |
