Why is the Styles panel empty?

The Styles panel always describes the currently selected layer. If nothing is selected, there's nothing to show — so it lists your layers instead:

Fix in one click#

• Click any element on the canvas, or
• Pick a layer from the list the panel shows you

The panel fills with that layer's style controls immediately.

Clicks not selecting anything?#

• The layer may be locked — check the Layers tab and unlock it
• You may be clicking a transparent area — click directly on the visible part, or select via the Layers tab
